Perth's newest motoring event was announced today - The Festival of Speed, which is taking place on Sunday 28 November 2010 at Wanneroo Raceway. Presented by the Australian Automobile Club, the event has secured and unprecedented coup for motor sport fans with the headline appearance of Australia's own F1 legend Mark Webber, in person and on track.

Dean Fiore and the Triple F Racing Bing Lee / Panasonic V8 Supercar will also be taking part in the days celebration of motor sport where Dean will light the fuse on the rocket ship that is a modern V8 Supercar and provide a smoke filled demo run, as well as laying down a best lap time. This lap time will be the measure by which all other cars will be judged on the day.

"I am stoked to be part of such a huge event. Especially if Mark is crowned world champion, it will make a huge event a massive one. I am really excited and looking forward to playing my part in the Festival of Speed" Fiore commented.

Webber will race the clock three times in his Red Bull Formula One car and be interviewed live, talking about the year he set the pace for the rest of the world in the planet's most dangerous and expensive motor sport.

Mark Webber and his Red Bull Formula One and Dean Fiore and his V8 Supercar, will be well supported by Rally Cars, Sport Sedans, Formula Cars, Race Bikes, Street Cars and Historic Racers.

True racing devotees will be red-lining with excitement as Special Street Cars, Historic Race Cars, Electric Vehicles and Emergency Service vehicles make the Festival of Speed the most exciting and diverse celebration of motor sport Perth has ever seen.

The Australian Automobile Club's Festival of Speed, presents motor sport fans with a unique, premium opportunity to indulge their passion for speed and racing. Hosting Mark Webber and Red Bull Formula One and witnessing this champion pushing his F1 car through the twists and turns of Barbagallo Race Way will be a very rare event indeed.

The AAC Festival of Speed has stopped at nothing to bring together an event program worthy of supporting a driver of Mark Webber's standing. Perth's own Daniel Ricciardo will also be present at the event alongside Mark Webber.

The inaugural Festival of Speed is a one day celebration of motor sport and is set to be Perth's premium adrenalin charges motoring event.
